You're Not Alone with Calvin

Hey hey, I'm Joe, the newest addition to Team Ilictronix, and this is my first ever post on this blog :)

Today I thought I'd share a guy on the dance music scene who is one of the nicest, funniest blokes in music today. His name is Calvin Harris, he comes from Dumfries in Scotland, and is one of the only producers out there today that I know of who actually sings on his own tracks. If you live in Britain or Europe in general, you've probably heard of him already, as he's been fairly massive over here ever since his breakthrough single "Acceptable In The 80s" took Britain by storm. Since then he has produced for Kylie Minogue, remixed everyone from Cut Copy to The Ting Tings, and achieved a number one with his collaboration with Dizzee Rascal "Dance Wiv Me".

His new single "I'm Not Alone" is coming out on April 6th. While the majority of his last album "I Created Disco" was composed of 80s-inspired electroclash pop tunes, with this single Calvin is ditching that formula (for now at least) and going for a full on trance whirlwind.

Not only that, but Calvin, being the lovely bloke that he is, has also uploaded two MIND BLOWING remixes of "I'm Not Alone" to his YouTube channel, courtesy of Canada's favorite prog-house rodent Deadmau5 and pioneer of the UK's fidget electro scene Herve.

PLEASE NOTE - Those links are to YouTube videos not mp3s. I would've just embedded the videos but my PC is acting up. Sorry.

Have fun with these gems :)

Welcome to the team Joe, nice post (I simply adore acceptable in the 80s if it's about Calvin, but these tracks are pretty good as well). Jordan will fix the songs probably, if you ask him nicely.
One more thing, could you introduce yourself a bit: age, nationality, favourite artists, music style, hobbies?
