Ask Me About Robots!

Wouldn't you love a shirt like that? I know I would...

A disgrace to the word robot...

Now I know you might be thinking, "HOLY SHIT MOAR DAFT PUNK?!" And the answer is no, I am not going to talk about Daft Punk, except for the fact that Little Anthony and the Imperials (the guys whose vocals can be heard in Crescendolls) were recently inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.

Today, I am going to talk about Benny Benassi.

And they called Daft Punk ugly...

Marco Benassi is an Italian DJ/producer in his mid-40s who makes some pretty kickass Electrohouse. Be aware that this is Italian House we're talking about. If you think you're going to find some disco samples, you're dead wrong. The tracks listed soon will show you just what I mean.

You may know Benny Benassi for his smash hit "Satisfaction," which has been playing in many commercials, ranging from Pringles, to Wendy's, to Scion. It's a solid track. The first track, however, is one suggested by a viewer. Unfortunately, I had already owned a slightly better quality version, but still not that good. This track features some sweet 8-bit noises, which makes me poses a question. What the appeal of 8-bit noises and video game music? Anyway, enjoy your music.

It's funny how many popular DJs are total dorks in appearance. The fans are funnier. I saw photos from the stage of a Busy P show, and all the kids in the audience were nerds, not the 'cool' people a lot of club videos show.

Of course. The "cool cats" dont listen to this crappy "techno music".

Well quite honestly, I don't either. The closest I come is what I posted today, and Eric Prydz.

lol one of my friend's sisters went to a justice show and it wasnt a bunch of nerdy kids, it was a bunch of people yelling and screaming (which doesnt really bother me).

I want to go to a prodigy show, that'd be great. last I checked they have no US tours scheduled.

Well, Justice aint really a good example, as they are getting a bit too mainstream for their own good.

I saw Benassi about a couple of years ago in New Orleans (on one of the rare occasions an electronic act comes to this backwards part of the world), and while the crowd was your standard clubber kid type, it was the sight of Benassi himself that made my night.

As someone who might be considered too old for that kind of music, I was happy to say I wasn't the oldest geezer in the place...
