Krazy Baldhead + Oizo/Justice

Basement Jaxx were brilliant last night. Like, totally otherworldly. Now to bring me back down to the real world, I need some grimey electro beats. And where do I get those? Why, Ed Banger Records of course!

First I'll post one of the tracks from the new Krazy Baldhead album, The B Suite. I never really listened to Krazy Baldhead before this, but this twisted brand of bleepy electro funk is just imposible to resist.

The other track I'm posting today wasn't actually released on the Ed Banger Records label, but the guy who released it, Mr Oizo, and the two guys who made this remix, Justice, are both now signed to Ed Rec, so for the sake of argument, let's just pretend it was. Opening up with obliterated vocal samples and complete electro chaos with no actual tune, the track soon plunges into a distorted riff of epic proportions. Lovely.

Keep it funky,

Aww! Luckiness! Basement Jaxx are freakin amazing.

Yup. The Krazy Baldhead track is dopeness. The whole album is really creative and eclectic in itself. As for the genius Mr. Oizo, (we at Ed Bang Us, absolutely LOVE him, and we’re doing a remix article this week with him) I felt Justice did not do justice to this track.
The other half of Ed Bang Us, Jordan) is the Justice lover, but myself, not too crazy.

I felt they were trying to capture Mr. Oizo’s sound with this track. The glitchiness and whatnot is not the typical sound Justice produces. It’s like they were trying to reach Mr. Oizo’s level, and they failed.

Don’t get me wrong, I think it’s a great track, but its just an aspect of Justice that I’m kinda over due to their “overhypage” . They shall never reach the level of the brilliant Mr. Oizo!!
