OK, so for those of you following Todd Edwards on MySpace, you might have noticed a little something he uploaded today. A remix of Daft Punk's "Technologic" to be exact.
I've not got much else to say except... Is this legit? It's very different to Todd's usual style, swapping the Edwards vox collage treatment for a full vocal with synth bass. Hopefully we can expect some more info on this soon.

This sounds nothing like Todd Edwards. I'm super duper skeptical.
I'm similarly skeptical, but I'm not like "Daft Punk in Shanghai" skeptical. It's probably just something he did for fun. After all, why else would someone as successful as Edwards remix a track that was released 4 years ago? But then again, Soulwax remixed "Hey Boy Hey Girl" so I suppose it's still possible this could be official. But I doubt it.
Well, it is called the "Just 4 Play Remix", so it's unlikely that he's planning an official release.
He's just a fan of Daft Punk - he's done other unofficial remixes (Bjork - Desired Constellation and Enya - Afer Ventus spring to mind), both of whom he name-checks in interviews, so perhaps these artists should send some official remix work his way!
If you've heard his new album, this is very Todd Edwards. Sounds just like what he did with Next To You, which I shall post.
this IS todd edwards, that is his official page. this is something he did for his recent set in london at the indego2 arena at the millenium dome. its not an official remix and is unlikely to see the light of day sadly, along with his track "no place like london" which sampled sweeney todd (tore the house down and utterly inspired!!!). and todd isn't so much a fan of daft punk, more a friend, they are fan's of his, hence why they approached him to work with them on their discovery album (for those not in the know, he co-produced face to face and also sang the vocals). he also has his own remix of that, which, again, like most of todd's best work is unreleased :-(

Boba & the 2 anonymous users are right this IS Todd as he played it at 4by4 at the o2 in London & EZ has been playing it on his Kiss show after Todd gave him his new tracks after the event. there's the link for EZ playing new Todd http://djs.totalkiss.com/2009/04/tracklist-240409-3/
im playing it on my show tonight on www.sinefm.com from 8pm . ez plays it on kiss 100 so i would say that todd did the track
