England's answer to Justice?

Today I'll be blogging the crap out of a band I've really been getting into in recent weeks. They are two young lads from Leeds who go by the name of Youth Attack! (not to be confused with the punk band of the same name, minus the exclamation mark). They make kickass Ed-Banger-esque electro and also run a monthly club night called Kill The Rhythm.

I'm going to cut the bullshit. These two are EXACTLY like Justice. They splice up random microsamples, enjoy a good slap bassline and use a lot of that whirring synth sound that Xavier and Gaspard are so fond of. You know the one. The one at the end of the Lovestoned remix.

Anyway, back to YA!, there's not much else to say except "they have a new single out soon" and "they're absolutely brilliant". Check 'em out!

The Ting Tings - Shut Up And Let Me Go (Youth Attack! & PopCop Remix) [Right Click To Download]

Keep it noisy, glitchy, loud and extremely offensive to the ears of anyone over 30,

We aim to please. Unfortunately we had to take down "Yo Paris!" on request from the band. Apparently "thats getting released in a month or so, label will get pisssseddd"
