Going back to the Originals.

We all love electro here dont we? You do, we do,hell i would dare say its one of the most popular forms of hardcore dance music out there. But as we grow into the new generation of electro, we tend to forget the classics. The Prodigy is a clear example. Never heard of them? well i'm just going to have to change that wont we?

Formed in 1990 at somewhere in the UK, The prodigy started out as nothing but a small underground group that worked their way to the top. You know why they got where they were today? They were DIFFERENT. When the electromania of 1996 hit the world, The music started becoming more generic. As a result, The Prodigy changed their style of music, showing they dont conform ever. A HUGE example of this is Firestarter, a grand slam medley of hardcore freshness that made them huge and much more (if not already) well known. I LOVE this song. And so shall you, if you havent heard it already.

Today, only 3/5 of the original band are still there (Keith Flint, Liam Howlett, and Maxim Reality) yet they still go strong with their 5th album, Invaders Must Die. I Must say its quite good, definitely one to listen over and over again, especially the track Omen. But I honestly like the title track more because it isnt is as overrated like Omen (which is f***ing awesome regardless). Here you go

And just for the hell of it, heres Omen and a remix of it for even more awesomeness.

Love Prodigy, they got me into electronic music in general. Them and Daft Punk.

Glad to see someone here recognizes Sharky as a member.

Fun fact: The girl at the end of the "Voodoo People (Pendulum Remix)" video is actually Sharky.

I would consider The Prodigy to be more drum&bass than electro personally.. But still there fucking awesome.

Also I can't say i'm much of a fan of the Herve remix of Omen. I like Herve's other stuff. But that remix and his remix of "The Salmon Dance" just didn't do it for me.
