DnB Bitches

WARNING: Turning your speakers to maximum volume is required for ultimate listening pleasure.

Hi there peeps,

It’s time for some Drum and some bass.

Starting off with the first ever DnB song I ever owned (thanx bro): Warhead by DJ Krust

DJ Krust - Warhead

Just some loop that goes on the entire fucking song, but I was instantly sold. I knew I liked the style and thank god my brother already gathered some of the classics of the genre for me to listen to.
I’ll just give you one (always nice to add to your music library).

Origin Unknown - Valley Of The Shadows

Now onto the shit I really like…

First name to remember, Roni Size: The man who created the Breakbeat Era.

Roni Size - Snapshot

Roni Size - Dirty Beats

That’s more like it, drums are getting bigger and more rhythmical, but I still miss something grand, something starting with the letter B…

Future Prophecies - Dreadlock

Spor - 1 Up

This style of DnB is more Jungle/reggae, but it’s got some serious kicking bass.

The last song is my all time favourite (I have at hand),

Makai - Beneath The Mask

You might recognize the vocals from the anime masterpiece Ghost in the Shell. There is a 10 minute lasting alternative version with even better vocal work, but I’ll have to search a while before I find it.

As you might have noticed, this post expresses my personal love for DnB and the style I like.
If any of you find the need to say you don’t really like it and rather listen to Pendu… crap, here’s another mp3 especially for you where you can enjoy your favourite unoriginal commercialized kind of Drum & Bass:

DJ Clipz - Kung Fu

For the rest, I’ll certainly post some more heavy bass shit once I had the time to go through my brothers record collection to find some gems.

Enjoy, Mr. Brown

Pendulum could be better, I agree. Personally I like Cycheouts Ghost and Camo & Krooked's sound of DNB.

Great stuff. DnB will always be an acquired taste. Metalheadz has some great new stuff.

If the fans request DnB, I'll do my best to deliver (too bad my style doesn't seem to be as flashy as they hoped it would be), thank god at least some people appreciate some good ol' classic DnB like me (wink EMU)

And Metalheadz is something I will post in the future because the vinyl on them is limitless at home, too bad I'm at college, so I didn't have much recent stuff to post from

Dirty Beats is easily one of my favorite dnb songs. It got me into the genre.

no dude, SebastiAn = bangin'. DnB = Uncreative, ear-bleeding.

wow...a lot of drum and bass hate...gotta love the productive comments...then again most D&B heads hate on Dubstep so go figure...thanks for posting these tracks...I think I have most of these on some harddrive somewhere as 96K napster files :-p.

so how about some UK hardcore as well? :-D

For the record, I wasn't trying to hate. It's just not my thing, I don't think there's much subtlety in DnB, which is fine in the right situations I guess.

I love DnB. One of my favourite styles of music.

Nice Post. And just for the record I personally prefer what you described at "unoriginal" and "commercialized". Although I still like (and respect) the older style and other alternate styles.

- Colour.
