I Am A Very Stylish Girl

Not me, silly! I mean, I won't deny that I'm very stylish and good looking, but I'm just about as manly as they come.

...

...

Just a little bit? No? Ahh, well screw you. With screws.

Bah. Just for that I won't share the awesome tracks I was gonna share...

Oh? What was that? Was that an apology? That's right, you'd better apologize... meh. You, apology accepted, I'll share the tracks.

Dimitri From Paris is about as slick as DJs come. He's got a class act that comes straight out of an old Bond soundtrack. It's pop from an era where everything was black and white, when jazz was still prominant, and flutes were cool. And the best part? It's house music.

Dimitri is probably known far more for his mixed CDs of disco, funk, and jazz edits. In the last 15 years, he's only released two studio albums, Sacrebleu and Cruising Altitude. Sacrebleu is rather odd. It's mostly 50 second short clips, and as a whole, it's a very experimental sounding album. Cruising Altitude channels the vibe of the first album into a more defined, confident house sound, but quite unusually, seems to be much less popular in the grand scheme of things.

My picks for you:

Dimitri From Paris - UneVeryStylishFille [right click to download]

Dimitri From Paris - Dirty Larry [right click to download]

Dimitri From Paris - Nothing To Lose (Instrumental) [right click to download]

Dimitri From Paris - La Vie [right click to download]

Dimitri From Paris - Not Quite Disco [right click to download]

Dimitri From Paris - San Juan Five-O [right click to download]

Boba out.
