At Long Last

Hi there, first exam down, only eight more to go…

It’s time for the songs I planned on sharing with you last year, but forgot to post.

The Petits Pilous Remix of Justice’s DVNO that Joe once recommended in some comment:

Justice – DVNO (Les Petits Pilous Remix) [right click to download]

2009’s biggest revelation La Roux’s latest hit single I’m Not Your Toy, fantastically remastered by Data:

La Roux - I'm Not Your Toy (Data Remix) [right click to download]

And two major remixes of my all time favourite La Musique by Riot In Belgium:

Riot In Belgium – La Musique (Revolver Edit) [right click to download]

Riot In Belgium – La Musique (Sinden Remix) [right click to download]

Phew, glad to have those gems off my chest, I think I’m gonna take a relaxing walk in the snow now. Get all them stupid maths and stuff out of my brain.

p.s: I finally found the original Peanut club track buried in some far away map in my music folder

Noob & Brodinski – Peanuts Club [right click to download]

Enjoy and love from your ex-oldest, ex-only Dutch speaking dude in the ilictronix team (damn you Phil :p)

This is great! I am an independent singer songwriter and I learn a lot from reading blogs like this - thanks so much for sharing.

Haha, and that wasn't even a post. Just some words slapped together to post em songs I always forgot. Well glad even things like that can give people experience :p

I was about to ask why the beginning of the revolver edit of "la musique" sounds a lot like the sample that's in the Van She Tech remix of Audio Thieves - "Is This Love?" What's the deal here? It sounds like the remix I'm referring to is actually a remix of "la musique."

All I know is that the intro to the Revolver edit is complete taken from the original la musique wich came out somewhere in the end of 2006. I can't immediately find the remix by Van She you're talking about, but I'm guessing it's just sampled or sounds very familiar... Those La Musique lyrics are 100% legit and recorded for the song (I recal reading it on the LP somewhere).

so you can hear the intro where the sample I'm talking about is at: http://www.mediafire.com/?wfjnll2u4mj

but I've also seen the van she track labeled as a remix of Audio Thieves - (pray like) aretha franklin, which I can definitely hear about half way through.

sorry for blowin up this comment thread btw

Terribly sorry I missed that Kurmidt, stupid player doesn't recognise the "&" sign, fixed for ya. @Jake, no biggies highjacking threads it's what comment sections are for: and listening to the song you linked, they clearly sampled la musique, nice find.
