Opening Statements

Hey everyone.

Okay, so after a tiring Christmas, new years, and several days sans internet access, here I am with my introductory 'About Me' post.

As Prez has already noted, I'm from South Africa, I DJ at several well known club nights here in Cape Town, and I produce and record music (both electronic and not) on a freelance basis. I also used to work in advertising.

So, I guess that's technically what qualifies me to write for the blog.

Anyway, I figured that instead of posting some individual tracks, I would post a mix that I played live and subsequently recorded (a few months back), as a way to fast track the 'getting to know me, what I like, and what I'll probably post on the blog' process.

Well, that, and Niteshade already posted the Daft Punk remix of Mothership Reconnection a couple days ago, so I kinda had to think of something else to write about, haha.

Either way, I hope you guys enjoy the mix - and I hope you'll look forward to many more posts over 2010 (and beyond).

Great mix, just be careful when posting your own material, things don't tend to go so well haha.

But this is great! And I guess it's different since it's a mix.

Welcome aboard, Phil!

Great mix, but you forgot to put the Fred Falke mix of Little Botts on the tracklist.

I also liked the way you squeezed Taken it All inbetween the two Warps.

Aha! I knew I missed something. (Well spotted)

Also, Alex, I just noticed the coincidence that it starts with the Breakbot remix of Let There be Light. ; )

Nice post dude. However I'm known as niteshade here. I would prefer you use my screen name instead of my real name next time :) still welcome to the club!

Oh damn, yeah, I was in such a rush when I put it up (or to fix a mistake, more accurately) that I just used your name from the 'posted by' part at the end.

Anyway, fixed.
