Last Japan

While watching the surprisingly gripping penultimate episode of this season of Skins
the other day, marveling at its consistently brilliant soundtrack as usual, one track jumped out at me. Pumping beats, aggressive sawtooth bass and rave stabs all layered together. It was the ultimate party track. And, after a quick bit of searching online, I found out it was a remix of Crystal Fighters' track "Xtatic Truth" by London's Last Japan.

Currently signed to Fatboy Slim's Southern Fried label, 20 year old Last Japan dropped his latest original offering "Jungle Warrior" back in December, and is currently hard at work on his debut album. And with a series of official remixes for the likes of Brodinski, Diplo, Soft Toy Emergency and DJ Tonka behind him, he's got the world in the palm of his hand at the moment. But don't take my word for it, let the tracks speak for themselves.

Keep it funky,
