Cookies with a smile

Hi there,

Seems like I'm posting more now that I don't have time to spare. Life does tend to work in mysterious ways...

So you must all remember the marvellous duo called Dada Life (if not, check out this post and this album review I did about them).

'Yeah, they're holding hands, deal with it! (and check out my many pixels)'

Well it seems like they are back inside the studio crancking out new tracks:

This track puts a smile on my face, it's just so yummie. They continue with their approach bringing us harder yet danceable tracks. And who doesn't agree chunky cookies are the best!

Dada Life used to be one of my favourite bands, but now that they amped up their distortions and are adding these fantastic vocals, I'm falling in love all over again. To make my point, here's another one of their earlier songs to compare the distortion levels:

I adore the build up in this song, it gets you all pumped up in the start and then suddenly falls to the actual song. It's a nice variation from all other intro-song-climax-song-outro music (not that I think it isn't a great flow, I just like some variation in my food from time to time).

Dada Life is also pretty famous for their remixes, which they like to call guerilla farts (don't ask, I don't have a clue where it comes from).

Also, keep your ears open for their upcoming Kylie Minogue remix, it's going to become huge!

And because I just can't dissapoint our non-electro loving readers, here's a gift especially for you guys:

Enjoy, Mr Brown.

Wow, great tracks. In 'Cookies With A Smile' I was so expecting a huge dance-tastic head banging beat at 45 seconds, but alas it was not to be. Instead it came in at 1:15, and I wet myself a little bit I have to admit. Note to self Colour; buy some Dada Life albums! This is freaking awesome!

I have to admit, their new stuff seems to be a bit more mainstream and less experimental, though I have to admit I like their new works somewhat more.

Also, OMFG AT THEIR KYLIE REMIX! HOW DO THEY MAKE SOMEONE SO BAD SOUND SO GOOD! Im defiantly going to have to pass this song onto my local DJs when its released as my local scene tends to be the more mainstream stuff.

Keep up the good work Mr Brown!

Sure, but don't get your hopes up, I am already taken...

and how dare you call Kylie bad! I just love her. Probably the best thing Australia ever put out into the world (hope you realise I'm kidding, I do love Kylie though :p)

I had finished my intro to java class early, so I came here to listen to some tracks. I disturbed the whole class when I laughed out loud listening to cookies with a smile.

That track is flippin amazing.

Kylie isn't bad... she's a classic. She was one of the original Stock/Aiken/Waterman artists, wasn't she?
