Barbra's Finally Here!

Recently, where I live many people have been going crazy over this new song, only to me it’s not so new. A similar thing happened recently with another track (We No Speak Americano anyone?) with the main difference being that people only demanded WNSA at parties, this ‘new’ song is on regular repeat on everyone’s iPods and every day is growing in popularity. So without further ado, here’s a song that needs no formal introductions (because it was introduced a few months back)!

Back on Saturday, May 22nd, our beloved Mr Brown did a post on a new track released by DJ O-God which was a remix of the unreleased track; Barbra Streisand by Duck Sauce. It incorporated the same sample as the unreleased original and even the members of Duck Sauce themselves (A-Trak and Armand Van Helden) stated that it was incredibly similar to the original which they were producing. Here’s a quick video of them discussing the O-God track.

Now it's time for some tracks! Please note that I have removed the download link for the Original Mix as I think you should go and purchase the track! :P

Duck Sauce - Barbra Streisand (Original Mix)

The original is scarily like the O-God remix, and it would be interesting to find out if Duck Sauce included the ‘Barbra Streisand’ vocals in emulation of O-Gods vocals. Either way it’s a brilliant track, though I personally prefer the O-God remix as it has more of a beat and more bass.

Duck Sauce - Barbra Streisand (Fare Soldi Remix) [click to download 320kbps]

Probably my favourite of all the remixes i've heard, it gives the original a bit of jazz. 10 out of 10 IMO.

Duck Sauce - Barbra Streisand (Sigma Mix) [click to download 320kbps]

A D&B remix with a bit of dubstep thrown in there too, though I personally think it's a tad too overdone.

Duck Sauce - Barbra Streisand (Drunken Masters Remix) [click to download 320kbps]

Some good old dubby electro. When I first heard this track I will admit it didn't take my fancy. But after I listened to it a few times it grew on me.

And now just for kicks, here's a few bonuses.

Boney M - Gotta Go Home [click to download 320kbps]

Boney M - Gotta Go Home [12inch Version] [click to download VBR]

The original and the 12 Inch version (which might I add is quite hard to come by :P)

Ziggy Stardust - Breaking Bones (Original Mix) [click to download 320kbps]

This is another track released a few months before O-God's remix which uses the same sample. It slows the track right down, but once again it sounds scarily simelar to O-Gods and Duck Sauce's. Some people have been labeling this track as "Duck Sauce - Barbra Streisand (Ziggy Stardust Remix)" though it's actually an original.

Also, one last thing before I wrap this post up. DAVID GUETTA DID NOT MAKE BARBRA STREISAND! The track is by O-God, and David Guetta must have dropped it in one of his sets. It's been mentioned quite a bit on youtube that its David's remix. It's not. Gosh.

EDIT:

Also, just for even more kicks. Have some moar trax! Thanks DC for linking me to the first to tracks! :P

I was pressing play on the original mix, suddenly it starts to play twice.

The O God remix had started to play on shuffle in my itunes.

THe 'barbara streisand' vocal was in the vids of Duck Sauce dropping it live. O-God was emulating THEM.

Now Barbra Streisand needs to collaborate with Boney M to produce a song called Duck Sauce.

I love it, but what does it mean?

I love Barbra Streisand, but it really baffles me why they're getting people like Sigma and Afrojack to remix the tune. Doesn't suit their styles at all. You'd think they'd have a disco giant amongst the remixers as well. Someone like His Majesty Andre or Aeroplane.
