Ren Riz Makes Me Smile

I've been a fan of Ren Rizzolo (Ren Riz) for a while now, so when he emailed me, I was reasonably excited (as I always am when any artist shoots me a message). But this one was special - I had been meaning to post his music for a while, and now I have full permission to do so.

Melbourne's Ren Riz first graced my ears as a delicious electro artist. I couldn't explain why I liked him so much, maybe it was the artworks disco-style colors, or heck, maybe the tracks were just good (that is the real reason, I was just being cute). The all-over-the-place style of "Like Waiting" really intrigued me.

So that's what I'm going to post first. The opening is so catchy and sounds so well-made, which is why it's my ringtone.

Next is an entirely different-sounding track, but that doesn't make it any less extraordinary. A simple beat develops into a lovely melody, before going WTF-style on your head and turning swing. It's lovely.

Not sexy enough? That's okay. This next one's got you covered. It's so... modern, so... flashy, so... fuck it, it's good. One of the best remixes I've heard in a long time. "Oh yeah!"

A different taste all together, Excuse Me struck me as strange, but so original. I really can't explain why, but this simple song just rings nicely with me. Meh, you'll have to listen for yourself! By the way, are you some kind of model?

As you know, I can't throw all of Ren's tracks in this post - it would stretch across a thousand pages. If you want to see more, and I bet you do, I highly recommend you check out his SoundCloud, which is absolutely chock-full of well, everything. He also dabbles in some hip hop stuff, and of course, his ordinary MySpace page.

Enjoy! And see you soon! Sorry for the huge gap, college is keeping my busy,
