Introductions are in order.

Not to sound like a cheesy online dating ad but hi, my name is Adam and I'm happy to be here! I've been an avid reader of this blog for years now and I'm proud to start contributing. I just moved to Chicago so I'm excited to share with you some fresh tracks coming out of this area, along with some of my personal favorites.

The music scene has certainly changed since I've joined this blog. Who would've thought that the electro house craze of 07' would keep growing and eventually hit the mainstream airwaves! That producers would get the recognition that they have today and people like Hudson Mohawke would be making beats for Kanye west! Could anyone predict that electronic artists and rappers would join together for a "golden era" of hip hop? We are living in a new age of connectivity and artistic expression and I'm excited to join in the ride with all if you.

So instead of killing myself finding a track that is my "thesis". I've decided to just share one of my favorite tracks this week from artist Kelela. This free mixtape dropped pretty recently and the opener is by far the best cut on the album. I love this track, from the opening synths to the cool delivery of the vocals. It's hard not to fall in love when the chorus hits and the track goes barebones with that haunting synth line.
